A flame test manikin is a device used for testing the flammability of fabrics and other materials. It consists of a human-shaped dummy made of material that is designed to simulate the thermal properties of human skin and flesh.
After Development of various Fire Testing Equipments. The R&D Team under the guidance of scientist at DRDO developed first of its kind “Flame Test Manikin System” in India. The hard work of DNG Team, various scientist and premium Institutes for more than one and half year finally created a product which is first in India and only two other companies in the World could have developed such complex system. We are proud to announce that under the program of “Atam Nirbhar” Bharat by Prime Minister of India we have made our country Self Independent and under the scheme of Make in India more than 70% of the material used have been developed in India.
To perform a flame test, a small sample of the material being tested is exposed to a flame for a specified period of time. The manikin is then used to measure the degree of burn injury that would be sustained by a person wearing the material under the same conditions.
Manikin shell is constructed from a ceramic composite material that is completely fireproof and will not degrade with use.
